Hello my loves! I spent today like previously mentioned, waking up at 8am to wash the car, then send my brother to work and then go to the wetmarket, which I had not been in ages! I always want to go, but I know it’s best to go with my mother since she’s more familiar with the stalls which meant better prices. :) And then Valencia and Qin came over for lunch, which Val so kindly helped me with in terms of preparation. Japanese curry rice is a very simple dish to make, seeing how the curry comes in cubes packaged in boxes for your convenience. Honestly, I think 99% of Japanese restaurants in Singapore use it and I’ve yet to discover any that don’t. I give them the benefit of the doubt in believing that there at least might be one or two that make it authentically.

My Japanese curry rice consisted of pork cutlets, carrots, potatoes, four cubes of curry and water. The pork was fried seperately then put together with everything else, then left to simmer for awhile. It was a great treat I made for the house ever so often when in London. :)

After lunch, we hung around the house, played a little Cooking mama on the Wii and then made the last minute decision to take a trip to Ann Siang. Val, to our surprise, had never been to Ann Siang before, so naturally we had to visit Kki which is now my all time favourite.

It was so warm today, but when is it not anymore? Rain please come again soon! Happy weekend folks! xx

Hi loves!  The whole day I keep hearing a phantom ringtone over and over again. You know, when u think your phone is ringing but it turns out your just hearing things. Or phantom vibrations… I get that alot too… then it ends up it’s just the bus or something. Anyways this phantom ringtone is getting on my nerves… My phone is right next to me and it’s definitely not ringing, but I can hear it ringing in the distance. I think I’m going crazy.

Today I had so many things to do, getting stuff printed then meeting a client, bringing doggie to see the vet, doing grocery shopping so that my dear brother can have his breakfast tmr and so many other things. I stopped by Cat Socrates today and had a coffee while I waited for stuff to get printed. I asked for permission to take photos which is what I do most of the time. I get asked how I managed to take photos at cafes and other places… just by asking I guess… Plus if you’re a paying customer, even more they shouldn’t say no. Well, I’ve gotten a “no” once or twice from certain cafes I shall not name, and haven’t gone back since. (I pay $14 for a damn sandwhich and I’m not allowed to take ONE photo? Harsh. Plus ur sandwich wasn’t that great either ) :)

If you haven’t visited, where have you been?! XD

I’ve been really busy these few days and events that have been taking place have left me feeling a little melancholy, so tomorrow I will be cooking up a storm in the kitchen to cheer me up! So many things left undone at home, washing the car, going to the wet market, cooking lunch, doing some work and cooking dinner, and hopefull making some baked goods. It’s good to be home. :) Happy Mid-week! xx

Hey hey, just wanted to stop by and leave a gentle reminder. For all who are attending tomorrow’s picnic (i love chuu), please email me to let me know if you don’t have my contact number. Though, the location is the same as last time which is the big patch of grass at Swan Lake, Botanic Gardens has MANY big patches of grass and let’s be honest, I’m sure some of you don’t have the best sense of direction. hahaha… just kidding! *insert awkward laugh* So anyways, you can check the Botanic Gardens for the map. And something very important to take note of, if you are taking a taxi there, please know that there are TWO main entrances (if I’m not wrong) that taxis will stop at. You should stop at the one that is closer to gleneagles hospital. If not, you’d be walking for at least 20 minutes!

So if you’re coming tomorrow, can’t wait to meet you. If you’re not, then do look forward to photos!
Lotsa love kiddies! The weekend is here! xoxo

Good Monday Morning to yer all! So thanks once again, but this time to readers who came by yesterday. You ladies are too awesome! :D  So both Valencia and Valentia came down one after the other, it made me recall my trip to Spain almost 3 years back now well cause there’s a actual Spanish city named Valencia, which is magnificent and absolutely beautiful. So I went digging around my harddisk to find photos from them. Mind you I was using a Sony digi cam then cause although I bought my DSLR, I didn’t know how to use it so I just left in my luggage. lol Oh and before I go on I have to just mention… Yesterday at the flea market, I saw this girl using a Nikon D700 …. using her built in flash. I got pretty upset. I mean this is totally my opinion, but if you’re going to get a professional camera, shouldn’t you learn to use it the right way… the way Nikon intended the camera to be used. If you’re going to do flash photography with a Nikon D700, you might as well get a lower end DSLR or even a little digi cam, cause the photo will turn out the same way. Please don’t buy a professional camera just to show off… Oh do I sound upset, a little I guess. *Sighs*

So anyways back to a more beautiful place… Spain! Yes, Spain. One of my favourite places was one of the apartments designed by Gaudi, in Barcelona. They furnished the apartment to make it look the way it would have looked like in a century before. It’s lovely! I wanted so badly to live there… haha … yes, in the museum itself. :)

Will be back soon. Love you all! xx

Hey all, told yer I would have more photos. I got my film developed today, though I think I shouldnt have cause I only had 20 shots in it. Too anxious to see how it would come out I guess and it turned out alright. And before I go on, I’d like to say, I am so glad to be blogging because I got to know so many new people these past few months, I’m swooning! Makes me happy! :) Okay continuing on…

At The Little Drom Store on Ann Siang Hill.

I didn’t get to try the cakes at Kki (which is japanese for cake if some of you might be unaware of.  pronounced Kei Ki) cause the tables are always unavailable. lol. But will do in due time!

And some random shots…

Oh I think this week is going to be a fabulous week! jooooyyyyy! xoxo

Hey all! I’m back! So after an extremely extreme week when time passed so fast and I feel like I aged 10 years, I’m done with immense amount of work for now! And I’m back to blogging… hooray. I tell you… I’ve missed my me-time. Today I managed to get quite a few things done…maybe cause although I should have slept 10 hours, I woke up at 9am when I slept at 2am. Damn you, body clock! :(  So back to the good stuff.

I’m making alphabet sticker books for the Flea Market on the 30th. :)

Visited Books Actually today… it’s been a very long while since I had no idea they moved to Club St. Doh!

They’re selling loads of vintage stuff… it’s like everyone’s doing it now. I am glad that Singapore is catching on, slowly but surely! :)

This is an ingenious idea. You can take random pieces of paper that have random quotes from books and bring ‘em home. You can give a small token of appreciation in return if you’d like. :)

Woods in the Books is almost next to Book Actually and sells mostly children’s pictorial books.

They sell some illustrations as well.

I was using ZH’s D700 which I find so difficult to use, but it does take lovely photos. I have more pictures on my Yashica but I’m done with the roll yet, so more to come!!!! :)
Hope you’re having a great weekend! xx

Hello folks! Right now, I am finally clean after being in a “sauna” for one whole day and it feels good! Flea Titan was pretty alright but it was really really hot today. I realised I sold very few articles of clothing, but sold mostly small stuff like necklaces and such. Oh well, no complaints cause at least people wanted to buy my stuff. hehe.

Making last minute tags and place cards.

Can you read what it says? lol.

My stall.

Pricing my handmade jewelry. Alot of you might not know that I used to make jewelry and sold quite alot of it on ebay. I also worked at a Jewelery place in Fenwick London. :D

And I’d like to share photos of a few ladies whose outfits I loved!

Amazing accessories.

Xinni (did I spell it right? :D) reads my blog! I was so happy! I absolutely adore her outfit. Her glasses and littliest bag especially.

I love the colour combi. Red blue and yellow!

I saw this bag on at least 3 girls today… The illustration on it is lovely. XD

Tomorrow there will be a huge and I mean supercalifragilisticexpialidocious update on my fleamarket/blogshop. Check back in at 7pm sharp to avoid disappointment! :D

xoxo

Hello! Tomorrow is New Year’s Eve! And I’m looking forward to the New Year, although I look forward more towards Chinese New Year cause there’s money involved. lol. Anyways, I am staying home sick today and apparently many other people I know are ill. I’m not sick sick, just a recurrence of one of my life long incurable illnesses. I have two, but I’m not too bummed out about it cause at least I’m alive and most of the time, healthy.

So anyways, I would like to share a little dinner Karyn hosted at her place. It was a quiet, cozy and perfect dinner for the 5 of us. Thanks Karyn! Next dinner is at my place… hehe.

Oh and I made a little video! It’s nothing fantastic but I got a little tired of taking photos so decided to take a video. hehe. Enjoy! p.s Sorry if it might make you a little dizzy, not very steady hands you see. Eeps!
song: Christmas Song by Cocoon.

By the way, HAPPY NEW YEAR!
xoxo

Hi yer! Hope everyone had a great Christmas cause I did! This holiday weekend was packed with activities galore and it all involved the people I love and new people in my life whom I have had the pleasure to meet! Sorry for disappearing for a whole week, I didn’t even realize I hadn’t blogged for so long cause time was passing so fast.

So while there’s alot of tell you about, let’s start with one of my Christmas treats! I wanted a sort of Christmas getaway and while Malacca/KL was on the list, I felt really lazy to travel the distance. Thus, as one of my Christmas presents, Da got a room for us at New Majestic Hotel. It is a quaint Designer Hotel located at Tanjong Pagar which has really random decor. I like! The rooms are designed by different designers and I forgot to ask if you got to choose. We got A Story Room which wasn’t a very nice room, so if you intend to stay there, just mention “anything but that one”. lol. Apologies to the designer, but it was just a little boring for me. Other than that, it was a delightful place, not to mention the bedsheets were comfy… I slept like a Christmas log cake. lol. :D

My vintage leather bag.

Hello there!

One of the best part… they had Kiehls shampoo/bodywash/lotion and that probably does it for me! xoxo

Counting down the days to Christmas! This week I met up with Dawn and Darren for dinner and such. I forgot how good the food at Canele Patiserrie is. You might want to download their catalogue to see the lovely but expensive chocolate hampers! Yum! Here’s some photos from that day.

Crepe with egg, ham & cheese.

Ice cream. The best yet!

Dawn took this photo of the embroidery on my dress.

OOoh and Chocolate Factory has opened their branches in Singapore and the chocolate is superb, not to mention chic packaging

The Most Honest Chocolate Tablet. Fantastic concept though I’m not sure if anyone wants to know how much calories they’re savoring. hehe

Christmas gift of sinful happiness. Jooooy!

Alot of people have been asking me what camera I use. I’m using a Nikon D300 right now since I lent my D70 to my good friend. Honestly, you don’t need an expensive DSLR camera body to get nice photos. You just need to know what lens is good for you! I will have a post on that and Lightroom which is what I usually use to adjust my photos. :D
