Kitchen Adventures

Hey everyone, today was such a busy day which started at around 7.30 am for me. Now my 4 limbs are so numb and even my fingers find a little bit of difficulty trying to type. As some of you would know, I had my picnic this afternoon. The weather was hot but occasionally the wind would grace us with a refreshing breeze. I drove to Holland Vllg this morning to get things done. I’m really beginning to like that part of Singapore cause it has everything! Banks, cafes, supermarket & chipbee garden which has magic pantry, phoon huat (baking needs) and a new cooking school/shop. So I lugging around big plastic bags of groceries and a pile of new magazines in my personal bag. Argh, It wasn’t too kind of the Sun to be beating down on me so hard. Nevertheless, I was excited to get everything done and return home to start my adventures in the kitchen. Here’s some photographic evidence of what I made/intended to bring, for the picnic. Enjoy!

I wanted to make brownies, which I did, but couldn’t bring to the picnic cause I didn’t add enough flour. DOH! The chocolate was sooo yummy tho.!

I made my own bread sticks which were supposed to be pretzels but I had no idea how to twist them the right way!

My neighbour was making something yummy in her kitchen too and gave me some chocolate goodness for me to try. :D

Then I made my guacamole using a more intense, yummier recipe.

2avocados/3tomatoes/2chillis/springonions/limejuice/pinchofsalt

Here’s my brownie!

ze Guacamole. (Got rave reviews for this which made me so happy)

And my breadsticks!

which I put in pretty paper cups just for the fun of it.

Okay I’m off to bed, good night/morning me lovelies! Have a great Sunday and week ahead. Photos will be up when I develop my film. hehe. xx

    Hello Sarah!

I love your site! I’ve been reading it from time to time and your blog just gives me this really homely and heartwarming feeling :) I wish I had more time to bake and explore cooking too…I really enjoy these two activities but I’m still studying and am in school most of the time!
